Jacques Lipchitz was one of the most famous artists to have lived in Lithuania, and was a prominent representative of cubism. Although he was born in 1891 in Druskininkai into the Litvak family, he became better known abroad than in Lithuania. The whole exhibition in the Lipchitz sculpture park was created at symposiums named in his honour.
