So-called French Hill (Prancūzkalnis)

So-called French Hill (Prancūzkalnis)

In the village of Bertašiūnai there is the French Hill, otherwise known as the Hill of Generations. It is said that during the French reign (1807–1813) the hill was used for hanging people. Among other things, the locals still remember the legends told by their grand-grandparents suggesting that this is the place where Napoleon Bonaparte himself stayed for a while.
